William Fichtner

William Edward Fichtner, born on November 27, 1956, is an American actor with a career spanning over 30 years and is recognized for performances in a dazzling number of films. He was born at Mitchel Air Force Base in New York, and began his career with supporting appearances in Virtuosity (1994), Heat and Strange Days (both, 1995). His acting portfolio is impressive, with memorable roles in shows including Invasion where he starred as Sheriff Tom Underlay, Prison Break as Alexander Mahone, and Mom as Adam Janikowski.

Fichtner kick-started his acting career playing Rod Landry in As the World Turns in 1987, and had since appeared in various famous films like Contact, Black Hawk Down, Crash, and The Dark Knight. His outstanding performance in Crash won him a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Best Acting Ensemble award from Broadcast Film Critics Choice. Apart from film and television, Fichtner also demonstrated his talent in the gaming industry, voicing characters in the Grand Theft Auto series and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
