Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014

April O’Neil, an intrepid reporter for Channel 6 News in New York, is on a mission to uncover the nefarious activities of a gang known as the Foot Clan that has been wreaking havoc across the city. When she questions a dock worker about stolen chemicals, often used in genetic research, she stumbles upon something much bigger. One night, while investigating, April witnesses the Foot Clan unloading suspicious cargo and attempts to capture evidence with her phone. Suddenly, a mysterious figure appears, taking down the Foot Soldiers with incredible skill. She hurriedly reports this to her coworkers and her boss, Bernadette Thompson, but her incredible story falls on deaf ears.

Amid the turmoil caused by the Foot Clan’s violent acts, New York City negotiates a lucrative deal with Eric Sacks, the CEO of Sacks Industries, to supply security equipment to combat the rising crime. Sacks reveals a traumatic past with the Foot Clan, having lost many of his top scientific minds, including April’s father, in a brutal attack years prior.

In a twist of fate, the Foot Clan’s leaders receive news from their remaining soldiers about a new vigilante wreaking havoc on their operations, prompting the sinister leader, the Shredder, to retaliate by terrorizing the city further to flush out this mysterious hero. The first of their bold moves includes an attack on a subway station, where they hold hostages to lure out the vigilante. In a fervent rush to gather evidence, April finds herself in peril as she becomes a hostage of the Foot Clan. However, in an unexpected turn, four formidable figures show up and swiftly defeat the Foot soldiers.

Curious about these intriguing heroes, April tracks them to a rooftop, snapping a photo just as they notice her, causing her to faint. When she regains consciousness, she discovers the turtles deleted her picture but overhears them refer to each other. This encounter leads her to connect the dots: the turtles share a strange familiarity with a project her father worked on long ago.

Back at home, April delves into a box filled with her father’s research documents and videos concerning “Project Renaissance,” which had involved her late father, Dr. O’Neil. The discoveries hit close to home as she realizes that the turtles she once cared for in her father’s lab might be the very same turtles that are now living as humanoid ninjas in New York.

Desperate to share her findings with Bernadette Thompson, April is met with disbelief and is subsequently dismissed from her job. Even her cameraman, Vern Fenwick, isn’t convinced, although he decides to accompany her to visit Eric Sacks. There, April shares her photo of the turtles, prompting Sacks to reveal the details of Project Renaissance and the unlikely transformation of the turtles due to the mutagen that had been cultivated in his lab with April’s father.

Meanwhile, the turtles are back in their lair where their master, Splinter, disciplines them for being reckless. With the Foot Clan posing an imminent threat, Splinter orders the turtles to locate April and bring her to safety, fearing for her life now that she has crossed paths with them.

After finding April, the turtles blindfold her to keep their lair a secret, then introduce her to Splinter. He reveals the history of how she had once saved them years ago, and the tight bond they share develops further. However, unbeknownst to April, Sacks has a sinister link to the Shredder and is plotting an even greater scheme involving the release of a deadly virus to ensure their dominance over the city, aiming to sell the mutagen as the cure.

As tensions rise, a showdown occurs in the sewers between the Foot Clan, led by Shredder, and our brave heroes. Overwhelmed, Leo, Donnie, and Mikey are captured, leaving Splinter severely injured while Raphael barely survives the lair’s destruction. In a desperate race against time, Splinter instructs Raphael and April to rescue the captured turtles.

With Vern’s help, they successfully infiltrate Sacks’ laboratory to free the turtles, who rally alongside Raphael to confront Shredder, albeit the villain manages an escape. The heroes then plot a counter-strike on the rooftop of Sacks’ building to thwart Shredder’s plans to unleash the virus on the city. Meanwhile, April delves deeper into the laboratory where she confronts Sacks, who reveals that he killed her father amidst his ambitious pursuits.

As Shredder prepares to unleash chaos, April comes to the turtles’ aid, helping them in the climactic battle that ultimately leads to Shredder’s downfall, though not without consequences. As night falls, Vern attempts to impress April with a new car, only to be humorously upstaged by the turtles who arrive in their own explosive style. Despite their offers, April declines their ride home, ending the night with Mikey serenading her with the classic tune “Happy Together,” solidifying a truly unique bond amongst them all.
