Peter Segal

**Peter Segal**, born in 1962, is a renowned American film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He directed numerous movies that are well-known and loved by audiences around the world. Segal's cinematic works include the comedy films such as _Naked Gun 33+1⁄3: The Final Insult_ (1994), _Tommy Boy_ (1995), _My Fellow Americans_ (1996), _The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps_ (2000), _Anger Management_ (2003), _50 First Dates_ (2004), _The Longest Yard_ (2005), _Get Smart_ (2008), _Grudge Match_ (2013), and _My Spy_ (2020). Segal was raised in New York City and Los Angeles, as his father was a publicist at MGM. He attended the University of Southern California, where he simultaneously pursued Broadcast Journalism and English. He made his beginnings in the television industry, writing and directing shows before transitioning into films. In 1995, he established his production company, Callahan Filmworks, in collaboration with his long-term producing partner, Michael Ewing. His debut as a movie director was with _Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult_, marking the kickoff of a stellar career in the cinema industry. Among his notable works, he excited the audience with his collaboration with Adam Sandler in three popular films - _Anger Management_ (2003), _50 First Dates_ (2004), and _The Longest Yard_ (2005). The Longest Yard shines as the second highest-grossing sports comedy ever. He also adapted the '60s TV series, _Get Smart_, in his 2008 film of the same name, displaying his versatility as a director. Segal openly shared his spirituality in an interview, saying he considered himself a 'recreational Jew.'
