Plot Summary

As Cruella de Vil (Cate Blanchett) emerges from her three-year stint in prison, she’s undergone a remarkable transformation under the guidance of psychologist Dr. Pavlov. No longer fixated on crafting fur coats, Cruella is released on probation with a stern warning: any parole violations will result in her being promptly returned to her former confinement, as well as forfeiting her eight million pound fortune to Westminster’s dog shelters. To avoid this fate, Cruella must mend her working relationship with beleaguered valet Alonzo and purchase the Second Chance Dog Shelter from Kevin Shepherd (Bryan Cranston), saving it from insolvency in the process. Meanwhile, her probation officer, Chloe Simon, remains skeptical of Cruella’s newfound benevolence, especially given her lingering suspicions about the owner of Dipstick (one of the original 101 Dalmatians).

As the plot unfolds, Dipstick’s mate Dottie gives birth to three adorable puppies - Domino, Little Dipper, and Oddball, whose rare albino coloring sparks concerns about her lack of spots. In a separate development, Dr. Pavlov uncovers an intriguing finding: when his therapy patients are exposed to sudden loud noises, they regress to their former selves, though he chooses to keep this information under wraps for the time being.

The stage is set for chaos as Big Ben’s iconic chimes reverberate through Cruella’s presence, triggering a metamorphosis that sees her reemerge as her old self. With renewed fervor, she enlists the expertise of French furrier Jean-Pierre LePelt to design a new, dastardly fur coat - one that would feature Dipstick’s innocent offspring as a hooded centerpiece.

As the stakes grow higher, Chloe and Kevin go on a romantic date, where Kevin reveals that if Cruella were to breach her parole, his entire fortune would be forfeited to him, given the current state of his dog shelter in Westminster. Armed with this knowledge, Cruella orchestrates a masterful scheme to frame Kevin for the theft of the first 99 Dalmatian puppies taken by LePelt, exploiting the fact that Kevin has a prior record of rescuing animals from labs.

As the clock strikes, Cruella invites Chloe and Dipstick to a dinner party at her estate, cleverly diverting their attention while LePelt steals Dottie and her three precious puppies. However, Dipstick returns to the apartment only to be captured shortly after. Chloe rushes home in a desperate bid to save her pets but arrives too late. Just as all hope seems lost, Kevin escapes from prison with the help of his trusty parrot sidekick Waddlesworth, revealing that his earlier conviction was actually for liberating animals from a lab where they were being subjected to cruel experiments.

With the stakes at an all-time high and the fate of the Dalmatians hanging precariously in the balance, the stage is set for a thrilling showdown between good and evil. Will Chloe and Kevin be able to outwit Cruella’s sinister plans and save the day? The clock is ticking…

As fate would have it, Kevin and Chloe stumble upon LePelt’s abandoned ticket for the Venice-Simplon Orient Express to Paris, only to realize too late that Cruella and LePelt had already boarded the train. Undeterred, they attempt to intercept their adversaries but ultimately fail to stop them from departing. Meanwhile, Oddball, having escaped unscathed, covertly follows Cruella and LePelt to LePelt’s factory in Paris. The intrepid duo of Kevin and Chloe soon find themselves hot on the trail, arriving at the factory only to be discovered by the cunning Cruella, who promptly locks them away in a dingy cellar. Despite being confined, they manage to liberate the puppies through a hole in the ceiling, setting off a chain reaction that ultimately leads to Cruella’s downfall. The villainous designer takes it upon herself to pursue the puppies alone, while Alonzo, having reached his breaking point, defeats LePelt and sets Kevin and Chloe free. As the stakes escalate, they track down Cruella to a bustling bakery, where they find the puppies - led by the resourceful Oddball - have cleverly outsmarted their nemesis by tricking her into being baked alive in an enormous cake. Though Cruella miraculously survives this ordeal, she and LePelt are eventually apprehended by authorities. With their names cleared of theft accusations, Kevin and Chloe return to London, where they are personally presented with the remnants of Cruella’s fortune by Alonzo himself. As a symbol of the endearing bond between Oddball and his pack, the once-spotless pup finally develops a few small spots, leaving everyone in awe of this heartwarming twist.
