In the tranquil surroundings of The Shady Rest Retirement Home in East Texas, a fascinating resident has emerged - Sebastian Haff, an elderly gentleman who insists, with fervent belief, that he is the legendary Elvis Presley. His improbable tale suggests that in the 1970s, the pressure of fame became unbearable for him, leading him to swap lives with an Elvis impersonator, also named Sebastian Haff. This impersonator met an untimely end in 1977, allowing the true Elvis to embrace a life of anonymity. However, his identity was secured when a propane explosion annihilated the evidence that could verify his claims.

Over time, Haff’s story became a cherished myth, even as rumors of his demise circulated. His existence was filled with moments of cheer and performance, but it took a toll on his once-vibrant health. Following a tragic accident, he fell into a coma, and his once-charismatic essence began to wane.

Now, twenty years have passed, and the aged Haff struggles with the existential dilemmas of aging and self-identity. His only confidant in this twilight realm is Jack, a cryptic character who claims to be John F. Kennedy, the former president. According to Jack’s fantastical narrative, he survived an assassination attempt, only to be disguised by conspirators who changed his skin color. Left alone and forgotten, Jack coincidentally shares the same nursing home with Haff.

Although initially doubtful of Jack’s stories, the oddity of a scar on the back of Jack’s head piques Haff’s interest, suggesting untold mysteries within. Despite his curiosity, he remains uncertain about its true meaning.

Everything changes when an ancient Egyptian mummy, brought back to life and posing as a cowboy, disrupts their peculiar lives. This undead entity has an insatiable hunger for the souls of the home’s residents, knowing that no one would suspect a thing. Jack concludes that the mummy has targeted this sanctuary due to its vulnerable inhabitants.

In the face of this dire threat, Haff and Jack must band together against the terrifying menace. Faced with physical limitations from age, their arsenal consists of a motorized wheelchair and a walker, yet they are resolute in their determination to stop the mummy’s malicious reign. As they confront this ancient evil, Haff discovers he can connect mentally with the mummy, unearthing the story behind its own existence.

As the moon illuminated the night sky, Elvis and his steadfast companion Jack devised a daring scheme to defeat the terrifying mummy. Their plan hinged on a dual purpose: vanquishing the ancient foe would also set free the souls trapped within, granting them peace at last. With unwavering resolve etched on their faces, they braced themselves for the impending battle.

When the witching hour arrived, Haff and Jack engaged the mummy in a surreal contest of bravery. Jack, confined to an electric wheelchair, used his astuteness to evade the creature, while Haff brandished a makeshift flamethrower, its fiery glow illuminating their surroundings ominously.

In a shocking twist, the mummy sent Jack tumbling to the ground, threatening to consume him wholly. Just in time, Haff commandeered the wheelchair, crashing it into the mummy with a forceful impact. Yet in the fray, the flamethrower spiraled out of control, leaving Haff with severe wounds and a painful injury.

As Jack succumbed to a heart attack, the determined Haff transformed his grief into an unshakable resolve to reclaim their lives from the mummy’s grasp. He drenched the creature in gasoline and ignited it, unleashing a fiery blaze that turned the ancient being into mere ashes.

Exhausted and gravely injured, Haff lay on a hill overlooking the river, feeling his life ebb away. Staring into the star-studded sky brought him comfort; he had safeguarded the residents of Shady Rest Retirement Home. The cosmos seemed to echo his sentiments, aligning in a celestial display that whispered reassurance: “all is well.” With heartfelt gratitude, he uttered his famous words – “thank you, thank you very much” – as he drifted into the vast eternity.
