Catch the Fair One 2022

Kaylee, a Native American woman with a past as a professional boxer, finds herself trapped in a cycle of addiction while living in a women’s shelter and working as a waitress. Some time ago, her younger sister, Weeta, was abducted and forced into a nightmarish life of prostitution by a ruthless sex trafficking ring, vanishing without a trace like so many young girls each year. With authorities showing little concern for her sister’s plight, Kaylee passionately takes it upon herself to search for Weeta.

After stumbling upon a lead regarding Weeta’s whereabouts, Kaylee meets with the trafficker running a local operation. Desperate and willing to do anything for a quick financial gain, she convinces him that she is in dire need of money. As he undresses her while taking pictures and providing drugs, he agrees to contact a prospective buyer interested in a “Native girl.”

Bobby, portrayed by Daniel Henshall, is the kingpin’s son, Willie, who soon finds himself entangled in a harrowing situation. Kaylee is abducted by him, chloroformed and bound, only to awaken alone in a dark basement. Utilizing a hidden razor blade, she frees herself just in time to confront her impending doom. When Bobby enters, he warns her that she will never locate her sister. However, when the buyer enters with malicious intent, Kaylee fights back; navigating her way to freedom after killing him.

But Kaylee’s escape is not over yet. She stealthily returns to Bobby’s home where she encounters his family, including his wife, Linda (Tiffany Chu), who bears noticeable signs of abuse. Kaylee swiftly ties them up and confronts Bobby for answers, resorting to her boxing skills and torture tactics to extract information about her sister’s whereabouts. With a fierce demand for the truth, she threatens dire consequences but Bobby, gripped by fear, continues to defy her.

After wresting critical information from Linda, she learns of a train yard owned by Willie, where they plan to transport their next batch of captive girls. Armed only with Bobby’s gun, Kaylee heads to the train yard, compelling a truck driver to reveal the location of the warehouse holding the girls. In a desperate and bloody confrontation, she faces the procurer once again and refuses to show mercy, leaving him to bleed out as she secures the freedom of the missing girls.

As Kaylee hatches her final plans, she reveals that she has kept Linda and Junior hidden in her car, directing them to deliver a message to Willie. At the mansion, as Linda interacts with Willie’s wife Debra, I’s within the mansion’s lamplit walls that tension comes to a head. During a chaotic showdown, both Debra and Kaylee inadvertently engage in a deadly exchange that culminates in bloodshed. As Kaylee finds herself fatally wounded, visions of a different life flash before her eyes, highlighting what could have been if she had accomplished her mission of saving her sister and reclaiming her identity as a fighter.
