Ben Holmes, portrayed by Ben Affleck, is an unassuming blurb writer residing in the vibrant city of New York. His job? Crafting the enticing short descriptions found on the covers of hardcover novels. As he prepares to step into a new chapter of his life, Ben is engaged and gearing up for a wedding with his fiancée, Bridget (played by Maura Tierney). He attends a bachelor party thrown by his best friend Alan, a night that quickly takes an unexpected turn when Ben’s grandfather suffers a heart attack due to the antics of a nearby stripper.

With the wedding in Savannah, Georgia looming on the horizon, Ben finds himself onboard a flight that spirals into chaos when a bird strikes one of the plane’s engines, resulting in a terrifying emergency.
