After the dramatic aftermath of their previous escapades, the notorious Finnish extreme metal band Impaled Rektum—which includes the passionate vocalist Turo, the skilled guitarist Lotvonen, the energetic bassist Xytrax, and the powerful drummer Oula—find themselves confined in a grim Norwegian prison. Their unyielding spirit catches the attention of the eccentric music producer Maxwell Efraim Fisto, who is lured by the band’s raw energy and rebellious nature. He extends an intriguing offer: a chance to perform at the prestigious Wacken Open Air festival along with €50,000 in prize money. Intrigued yet apprehensive, the band initially shows interest, but a spontaneous reaction from Xytrax leads them to decline, muttering that Wacken may be too commercial for their taste. Fisto, deeming their response unworthy, departs with a hint of disappointment.

Meanwhile, in Finland, chaos erupts when Lotvonen’s father, Pekka, suffers a heart attack upon discovering the distressing news that he must invest a staggering €30,000 into their family slaughterhouse to prevent its demolition. Realizing the urgency, Impaled Rektum makes a daring escape from prison, propelling themselves back home with one mission in mind: to reach Fisto and reclaim their chance at fame. Upon contacting him, they learn that the coveted Wacken opportunity has vanished into thin air, but in a twist of fate, Fisto offers them a shot at redemption at a gig in Vilnius.

The pursuit intensifies as Norwegian security officer Dokken is hot on their trail, leading to a frantic joyride where the band steals her car. They make their way to Helsinki, eventually sneaking onto the tour bus of Bloodmotor, another band managed by Fisto. Arriving in Vilnius, they are warmly welcomed back by Fisto, who gives them the opening act for Bloodmotor during the concert. However, conditions arise. Fisto expects them to perform cover songs much to the chagrin of Xytrax, who passionately protests this notion. Fisto, frustrated by their lack of commitment, walks away, leaving the band in turmoil.

During the electrifying performance, an unexpected incident occurs where Bloodmotor’s lead singer, Rob, is pulled off the stage by overly enthusiastic fans. Seizing the opportunity, Turo jumps in, showcasing his vocal prowess, and manages to finish the song amid roaring applause. Impressed by Turo’s audacity, Fisto approaches him backstage for a clandestine deal to secure a spot at Wacken, provided he abandons any qualms about showcasing their musical integrity.

As preparations for the festival ramp up, Fisto imposes a drastic makeover on the band, spotlighting Turo—now dubbed “Turo Starshine”—while minimizing the presence of the other members in promotional materials. Igniting their creativity, they record a brutal death metal single titled “Prisoner of Flesh.” However, Fisto and his engineer morph the track into an electronic-infused melodic deathcore piece, inexplicably renaming it to “To Die For.” Turo, aghast upon hearing the manipulated track, faces an ultimatum from Fisto: choose between the promised €50,000 or their chance to perform at Wacken. Conflict brews within the band as Xytrax decides to leave in frustration, leading to his subsequent arrest by Dokken.

In an act of desperation on their journey to Wacken, Turo, Lotvonen, and Oula hijack a hearse, yet as tensions mount, Turo’s burgeoning ego stirs up Oula’s anger, culminating in Oula’s decision to quit the band and face his own confrontation with the law. Arriving at Wacken, Turo faces Fisto, who reveals that Turo has declined the lump sum of cash for the performance instead. In a heated exchange, Lotvonen learns of Turo’s refusal and is unceremoniously escorted away by security. With mounting pressure, Turo takes the stage with session musicians but is soon confronted by the sight of Lotvonen’s arrest, prompting him to abandon his set despite Fisto’s intimidating threats.

In a rush of determination, Turo scales a festival tower and perilously leaps off, employing his extravagant stage prop wings to land on Dokken’s car, effectively rallying the rest of the band in this unexpected escape. Turo apologizes to his dejected bandmates, proposing they collectively raise money for the farm, yet their spirits appear fractured. Resorting to ingenious methods, they start collecting beer cans amidst the festival crowd, only to discover Turo performing an impressive death metal acapella, attempting to earn some cash. Recognizing his genuine intentions, they collaborate with Babymetal, with whom Xytrax has developed a rapport over their love for extreme metal, to organize a fundraiser at the festival.

As chaos unfolds, an unhinged Dokken attempts to shoot Turo using a gun given to her by Fisto. In a heroic split-second decision, Lotvonen jumps in front of Turo, saving him, though sustaining a seemingly insignificant bullet wound to the head—a moment of perverse luck given the phrase: > “It didn’t hit anything important.”

The climax reaches a fever pitch when Fisto faces a reckoning at the hands of Bloodmotor, where Rob retaliates with an unexpected growl that diminishes Fisto’s reputation.

In a peculiar twist of fate, the narrative closes with Impaled Rektum being reimprisoned, albeit granted the unique opportunity to perform metal shows behind bars, leading to an unexpected surge in the prison’s population. In a humorous final revelation, Lotvonen’s father is depicted humorously using a golden toilet once owned by Bloodmotor, letting viewers ponder the farcical consequences of the band’s adventurous journey through music, fame, and unconventional redemption.
