The ensuing battles are fierce and relentless, but the couple's survival is secured by the timely intervention of Mikkel, Lars' father and owner of the cabin. Mikkel, alerted by his friend Hans about strange occurrences at the cabin, had abandoned his care home to investigate. He joins forces with Dave and Roy in a violent confrontation that ultimately claims their lives.

With Petter emerging victorious, Lars and Lisa overpower him and dispose of his body in a nearby lake, where he meets a watery grave. When police arrive on the scene, the couple, reinvigorated by their renewed love, present themselves as heroes, spinning a self-aggrandizing narrative that propels them to fame. They capitalize on their notoriety by producing a Hollywood film, with Lars at the helm and Lisa starring as herself in this absurdly meta twist.
