In the gritty streets of London, two unlikely protagonists, Shannon (a harried nurse) and Frances (a struggling American actress), embark on a perilous adventure to swindle a group of ruthless gangsters, led by the cunning Kerrigan and Mason, out of £1,000,000. The impetus for this daring heist is born from eavesdropping on a conversation between gang members during a brazen bank robbery. With the money, they plan to procure life-saving medical equipment for Shannon’s underfunded hospital, where she toils away as an overworked and underappreciated nurse. Frances, meanwhile, hopes the loot will liberate her from the drudgery of voice acting for children’s cartoons, allowing her to upgrade her trusty Pontiac Firebird with a sleek Mercedes.

As the stakes escalate, Shannon and Frances employ clever manipulation to persuade the gangsters to part with their ill-gotten gains. However, as they navigate this treacherous landscape, the danger surrounding them becomes increasingly palpable.
