What is Git Hynes' relationship with Sabrina Bradley?
As Git Hynes emerged from an eight-month prison sentence, he found himself grappling with the stark reality of his choices. Once entangled with his ex-girlfriend, Sabrina Bradley, Git learned that she had formed a bond with his close friend Anto. Their meeting at a Dublin bar revealed Anto’s dire circumstances; his gambling problems had spiraled, leaving him deeply in debt to dangerous bookies who were not above using severe means to collect, including threats to cut off fingers. Faced with the imminent peril to Anto’s life, Git took action, confronting the ringleader and leaving a brutal mark on his face—one that would not go unnoticed, as this man was related to the notorious mobster Tom French.
In a high-stakes gamble of his own, Git found himself with an ultimatum from French: he needed to locate an associate named Frank Grogan in Cork and bring him back to Dublin to settle Anto’s debts. To ensure Git’s compliance, French kidnapped Anto and paired Git with the clumsy yet well-meaning Bunny Kelly. What followed was a chaotic adventure filled with missteps and absurdity, starting with a disastrous robbery at a petrol station that led to their vehicle being abandoned.
Their journey took them to a desolate bog area, hoping to meet a “Friendly Face.” Arriving too late, they followed a tip to The Black & Amber Inn, where they found Grogan. Things took a turn for the worse when Git was assaulted by local mobsters, and Bunny’s misguided attempts at first aid only painted a further picture of their incompetence.
The next day, armed with a gun provided by Bunny, Git infiltrated a hideout where Grogan was being kept. After a frantic rescue, they found themselves dodging bullets from French’s men in a tense escape. Grogan, panicking, was understandably upset about being delivered to French. The duo’s mishaps continued as they released him from the trunk of their car before heading back to the appointed meeting spot in the bog.
As they approached, Grogan’s bravado about having something on French’s wife fell on deaf ears. As they prepared to hand Grogan over, he made a desperate offer to the “Friendly Face” waiting for them—£50,000 to secure his freedom. In an unexpected twist, Bunny returned to the scene, gun drawn, flipping the situation entirely on its head.
In the aftermath, they subjected Grogan to intense interrogation, uncovering the intertwined history he shared with both French and the infamous Dublin mob boss Sonny Mulligan. Grogan revealed their partnership and the prized printing plates they desperately sought—a deal gone sour leading to fatal consequences.
The trio eventually met with French, where secrets unraveled, exposing treachery among them. French’s wrath boiled over when his wife’s absence came to the forefront, leading to a confrontation with Grogan that ended fatally. Bunny and Git, having witnessed this brutal moment, buried Grogan alongside the remains of Mulligan and French. They seized the printing plates, hoping to capitalize on their grim adventure.
Months later, Bunny, now carrying a message of goodwill from Git, encountered Sabrina, gifting her a substantial sum while hinting at Git’s lingering affection. As Bunny departed, an awkward tension settled between Sabrina and Anto, still reeling from his gambling habits. Unbeknownst to them, Git was lurking outside, ready to return to their lives with unresolved intentions. Their fleeting reunion hinted at a future steeped in ambiguity as Bunny and Git made their way toward the airport, leaving behind a whirlwind of emotions and fractured connections.
