Harinder “Harry” Singh Nehra, played by Shahrukh Khan, is a tourist guide navigating the charming streets of Amsterdam. Despite his friendly demeanor, he has a reputation as a cheap womanizer, having been fired from multiple jobs due to inappropriate relationships with female tourists. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Sejal Zaveri, portrayed by Anushka Sharma, a member of a Gujarati family he just dropped off at the airport. She has lost her engagement ring and, albeit reluctantly, Harry agrees to help her find it.

As they embark on this unexpected journey, Harry openly declares his flaws, mentioning his history of being a womanizer and his failed ambitions of becoming a singer after leaving his home in Nur Mahal village for Canada. However, Sejal remains undaunted by his confession. Harry suggests that Sejal should join another tour guide, Mayank (Aru Krishansh Verma), whom he believes is a more sensible option for her. However, Sejal’s determination to stick with Harry complicates matters, especially when she feels insulted by his lack of interest in her physical appearance, leading her to dress provocatively, which draws unwanted attention.

While they scour the city for the lost ring, Harry finds himself falling for Sejal but keeps his feelings hidden out of respect for her engagement. She reassures him that she is not one to abandon her fiancé, even inviting him to her wedding, a fact that weighs heavily on Harry’s heart. The plot thickens when it is revealed that a criminal named Ghyassuddin Mohammed Qureshi, known as Gas (Chandan Roy Sanyal), has the ring. As they investigate, they discover it has been passed around, ultimately connecting back to Gas in a rather convoluted chain of events.

Despite a series of confrontations with Gas’s thuggish henchmen, during which Harry ingeniously poses as an immigration agent to save himself, the true twist comes when Sejal finds the ring nestled in her own belongings after all this chaos. She chooses not to share this discovery with Harry just yet.

Their journey takes them to Frankfurt for Mayank’s wedding, where tensions rise, leading to a heated argument and Sejal deciding to return to India. Before leaving, she reveals to Harry that the ring was indeed with her, sparking mixed emotions for both as they part ways. Back in India, Harry finds himself lost and yearning for Sejal, ultimately deciding to attend her wedding, only to discover it has been called off.

Fate intervenes when he finds her alone, and in a heartwarming reunion, they admit their feelings for one another. Their story culminates in a return to Harry’s village, Nur Mahal, where they embrace their love and commit to a future together, solidifying their bond in marriage. The journey of lost rings and self-discovery ultimately leads to the promise of love and belonging, showcasing how love can blossom against all odds.
