As John Constantine’s witty spirit guides Barry Allen through a swirling vortex of time, they embark on an exhilarating journey that encompasses significant moments in John’s life. This adventure takes them through the electrifying origin of John’s metahuman powers, a gripping encounter with the formidable android Amazo, and even a heartwarming snapshot of his wedding bliss with Iris West. Amid this nostalgic expedition, a fierce clash with Amazo leaves Superman wounded and in desperate need of medical care from the suave detective Bruce Wayne. Concerned for their safety, Bruce proposes the formation of a specialized team comprising Barry, Clark, Oliver, the mysterious Mari McCabe, and John Jones, who has now adopted the role of a private detective on Earth.
During a press conference revealing the new Justice League headquarters, Amazo launches an unexpected assault on the assembled heroes, its functions reprogrammed by Lex Luthor to target all non-human beings. The League grapples with this formidable threat due to Amazo’s unique power to absorb and replicate their abilities. Meanwhile, a visit to Dr. Anthony Ivo reveals that he is battling a catastrophic disease that accelerates his aging, a consequence of his own creations. When Barry learns of Ivo’s ambition to create Amazo to harness metahuman powers and extend human life, the scientist makes the ultimate sacrifice to strip Amazo of its powers.
In a shocking twist, Batman uncovers that Luthor intentionally infected Ivo to drive his research, causing Amazo to turn against the villain himself. With Luthor caught by authorities, Amazo returns the stolen powers and powers down.
Sent by Constantine to a parallel realm known as Earth-3, Barry encounters his doppelgänger, Johnny Quick. After a tense battle, Barry finds himself captured by the Crime Syndicate, ruthless counterparts of the Justice League, and is taken to their ominous Hall of Crime where Superwoman ensnares him with her unyielding Lasso of Submission.
This encounter confirms the Multiverse’s existence, driving the Syndicate to concoct plans for interdimensional domination. As Barry faces extinction on this doomed world, an anti-matter wave threatens to obliterate Earth-3. Despite the Syndicate’s efforts, the wave annihilates the planet. In a heroic act, Quick sacrifices himself to empower Barry, granting him the chance to escape before the world’s doom.
Constantine discloses that he witnessed the destruction of the parallel worlds as a punishment, paralleling Barry’s guilt over his inability to intervene. Meanwhile, as Barry and Iris prepare to celebrate their wedding, a mysterious entity known as Harbinger summons an eclectic group of heroes with extraordinary abilities to a celestial location. This gathering features esteemed members of the Justice Society of Earth-2, where Flash reunites with counterparts like Wonder Woman and a revitalized Hawkman. Batman meets the Earth-2 Robin, introducing him to Huntress, the child of iconic heroes from that universe.
The mysterious Monitor, an ancient force controlling the multiverse, orchestrates this gathering to warn them of a catastrophic anti-matter wave that threatens to obliterate entire universes. Motivated by Barry’s time-travel abilities, the Monitor plans to build vibrational towers on the remaining Earths, allowing them to phase through the impending calamity. However, as time runs short, the wave spreads rapidly, threatening their existence.
In the face of escalating danger, Barry employs his extraordinary speed abilities to slow down time for himself and Iris, allowing them to age together while completing the vibrational tower on Earth-1, with Amazo’s assistance. Upon the tower’s completion, an elderly Iris meets her demise, leading the aged Barry to revert to his youthful form and activate the tower network through a cosmic treadmill’s power.
This energy surge annihilates Barry’s tower and Amazo but unexpectedly allows the anti-matter wave to pass through the various Earths, dissipating its destructive potential. As the immediate crisis appears resolved, Barry faces the Spectre, who asserts that he bears responsibility for the unfolding chaos, but leaves his fate at the mercy of the Speed Force.
As Barry vanishes into the ether, he materializes as a spectral vision to Batman, trapped within an illusion crafted by the Warlord on Warworld. The ghostly figure urges Batman to return to a point before “the beginning,” leaving only echoes of his message behind.
Meanwhile, on the space station, the gathered heroes celebrate their supposed victory. However, Harbinger’s unveiled identity as Supergirl leads her to question whether their actions have unwittingly altered the very fabric of reality, especially when the Legion of Super-Heroes fades into nonexistence before her eyes.
