Plot Summary

As the Jiaolong Assault Team patrols the treacherous waters of the Red Sea, they’re suddenly thrust into high-stakes action when a distress call alerts them to a developing crisis: pirates are wreaking havoc on a cargo ship, putting Chinese passengers and crew members in grave danger. Without hesitation, the elite 8-person team springs into operation, deploying as the forward unit to slow the pirates’ advance until the heavily armed naval vessels can arrive on the scene. Utilizing the expertise of a forward helicopter and a sniper dispatched alongside them, they make significant headway in stabilizing the situation, earning praise for their success once the main Chinese fleet arrives.

But just as it seems like the crisis has been averted, a new challenge emerges: one of the local governments on the Red Sea teeters on the brink of instability. With unrest and threats from local terrorist groups spreading like wildfire, the Jiaolong Assault Team is tasked with evacuating Chinese citizens to safety aboard the main Chinese naval vessels in a temporary harbor nearby. Little do they know, however, that these terrorists have far more sinister plans up their sleeves: using ‘yellow cake’ materials to create a dirty bomb.

As tensions escalate and local government support falters, the 8-person team finds themselves shouldering an even greater burden: relocating Chinese civilians working in the area to a safe deployment zone 75 miles away - a daunting task that requires nothing but a trusty jeep convoy. With their sniper sidelined by a crippling spinal injury sustained during the earlier operation, the Jiaolong Assault Team must rely on their own ingenuity and resolve to get the job done under the most trying of circumstances.

As the convoy navigates through treacherous terrain, it’s suddenly pummeled by a relentless barrage of mortar fire, leaving devastating losses in its wake. The assault team, reeling from the unexpected ambush, must regroup and refocus to launch a daring operation against a heavily fortified terrorist outpost teeming with 150 fanatical fighters, their cunning leader, and an arsenal of mechanized artillery and tanks. However, this formidable foe is bolstered by a deadly marksman - a trained sniper and assassin who proves to be a formidable obstacle to the rescue mission.

The assault team’s own sniper, gravely wounded in a previous encounter with ruthless pirates, is replaced by a new recruit tasked with taking down the enemy marksman. This fresh-faced sharpshooter proves to be more than up to the task, delivering a precision shot that sends the terrorist sniper crashing to his demise. But the operation’s success comes at a staggering cost: nearly the entire forward assault team falls in action, their bravery and sacrifice ultimately yielding a critical victory.

Despite the heavy toll, the mission prevails, thwarting the terrorists’ sinister plans to construct a dirty bomb and successfully rescuing innocent Chinese civilians held hostage by the enemy. As the surviving troops return aboard the Chinese fleet anchored in the Red Sea, they are honored for their unwavering courage under fire, their ultimate sacrifice serving as a testament to the unyielding resolve of those who serve in the face of danger.
