In a desperate effort to save his daughter, Alicia, from the effects of progeria, Dr. James Marcus, the founder of the Umbrella Corporation, boldly decided to use an untested embryonic project developed by his colleague, Dr. Charles Ashford – the T-virus. With little regard for the consequences, Marcus injected both Alicia and several other afflicted children with the virus, hoping to find a cure. Unfortunately, the experiment backfired when one of the children transformed into a grotesque zombie, triggering chaos. In response, Marcus ordered the project to be terminated, erasing all data and forbidding Ashford from pursuing it further. This heart-wrenching decision would have serious repercussions, as Ashford had been hoping to use the T-virus to save his own daughter, Angela.

Fast forward to the present day, Alice abruptly awakens in the ruins of the White House, having fallen prey to the betrayal of her previous ally, Albert Wesker. The Red Queen then confronts Alice, presenting her with a daunting ultimatum: infiltrate the Hive, a complex facility located beneath Raccoon City, within a mere 48 hours to prevent the Umbrella Corporation from unleashing a deadly airborne anti-virus that threatens to wipe out every zombie on the planet—at the cost of her own life. With the very virus she is ordered to stop coursing through her veins, Alice’s survival seems bleak.

As she maneuvers through this perilous environment, Alice finds herself ensnared in a malicious trap laid by Dr. Alexander Isaacs. In a shocking twist, she learns that the “Isaacs” she had previously killed was merely a clone. After escaping his convoy, Alice seeks refuge in Raccoon City, where she encounters a diverse group of survivors: Doc, Abigail, Christian, Cobalt, Razor, and Claire Redfield, the sole survivor of the devastating assault on Arcadia. Their fragile coexistence is quickly shattered when Isaacs’ convoy arrives, pursued by a horde of the undead. In a valiant effort, Alice and her allies fend off the attack and rescue Isaacs’ human captives, although Cobalt tragically succumbs to his injuries during the skirmish.

Their mutual struggle fortifies the bond between Alice and her companions as they venture deeper into the Hive. Here, they confront a harrowing truth when Wesker, now the master of the grim facility, unleashes mutated guard dogs, leading to Christian’s demise and the grisly end of a recently freed captive.

As Alice wrestles with the impending weight of her mission, the Red Queen reemerges, revealing a profound moral conflict. Programmed to avoid harming Umbrella personnel, she is nonetheless bound to prioritize human life, a paradox that could yield disastrous outcomes. The Red Queen provides Alice with chilling information about Isaacs’ malicious intentions to release the T-virus on the world, envisioning the annihilation of humanity while safeguarding the Umbrella executives within cryogenic capsules, intending to restore society after the anticipated apocalypse. Caught in this deadly game, the Red Queen warns Alice that a traitor may lurk among her trusted allies.

Navigating the perilous corridors of the Hive leads to a series of fatal traps, which ultimately claim the lives of both Abigail and Razor. Meanwhile, Alice and Doc devise a plan to plant explosives throughout the complex, utilizing equipment salvaged from a previous ill-fated expedition. Their efforts culminate in a confrontation with the technologically enhanced Isaacs, who is revealed to be in league with the Red Queen.

Just when victory seems within reach, Doc’s true allegiance is uncovered—he is revealed to be an Umbrella spy. In a devastating turn of events, Claire finds herself ensnared by Wesker’s schemes, ultimately leading to her capture. In a shocking twist, Alicia Marcus, co-owner of Umbrella and mother to Marcus’ daughter, emerges from cryogenic stasis, her presence poised to shatter the foundations of their world.

As Isaacs plots to eliminate both Alice and Alicia, he reveals to Alice that she is, in truth, a genetic clone of Alicia herself—an unveiling that ignites a cascade of events. seizing control from Wesker and disabling his protection program, rendering him powerless against the facility’s security systems. Doc’s treachery meets its end when Claire dispatches him without hesitation.

With tensions reaching a boiling point, Alice and Claire unite to confront Isaacs, while Alicia uploads her cherished childhood memories into a digital archive. The ensuing battle against Isaacs, Alice, and Claire rages fiercely, with the Umbrella operative initially holding the upper hand. However, Alice ingeniously turns the tide by triggering a grenade hidden in Isaacs’ pocket, ultimately bringing his reign of terror to a decisive close.

In a final desperate move to release the anti-virus, Alice ascends to the surface, only to be faced with the Isaacs clone from earlier. Just when all appears lost, the clone—believing itself to be the original—neutralizes the Isaacs duplicate, but ultimately falls victim to the very undead it aimed to vanquish.

In one last act of defiance, Alice succeeds in releasing the anti-virus, unleashing its cleansing essence upon the throngs of undead surrounding her. As she becomes overwhelmed with fatigue, Wesker simultaneously activates the deadman’s switch, resulting in his own downfall alongside that of Alicia, the Hive, and the dormant elite.

In the aftermath, Claire awakens to find Alice clinging to life, having narrowly evaded extinction thanks to the anti-virus’s remarkable ability to purge the T-virus from her system. As the Red Queen channels Alicia’s childhood memories into Alice’s digital consciousness, she grants Alice a glimpse of the normalcy and innocence she feared was lost forever.

With the anti-virus set to spread globally, carried upon the winds, Alice pledges to continue the fight to eradicate the T-virus once and for all.
