As Hurricane Sandy bears down on New York City, autistic teenager Ricky seeks refuge from his own struggles by hiding out in the subway tunnels, where he finds solace among the rhythmic pulse of the trains. But as the storm rages on, Ricky's inner world is disrupted, forcing him to confront the challenges of growing up and finding his place in a chaotic world.
