In 1959 England, a free-spirited widow's quest to open a bookshop in a conservative coastal town sparks a cultural awakening through the works of Ray Bradbury and Vladimir Nabokov. As Florence Green faces opposition from a local grand dame and finds support in a reclusive widower, she must confront whether there's room for a haven of knowledge in a community that may not welcome it.
