The Loneliest Planet 2012

As Alex (Gael García Bernal) and Nica (Hani Furstenberg), deeply in love and soon to be married, embark on a journey through the stunning landscapes of Georgia, formerly a Soviet republic, they hire a local guide (Bidzina Gujabidze) to lead them on an adventure-filled trek through the breathtaking Caucasus Mountains. The tranquil scenery provides a serene backdrop for their trip, allowing them to reconnect and strengthen their bond.

However, their idyllic escapade takes a dramatic turn when they encounter an older man with two boys en route. His initial wariness towards the couple gives way to a sudden, menacing hostility as he raises his hunting rifle, aiming it aggressively at Alex and Nica. In a flash of instinctive protection, Alex swiftly positions himself between Nica and the stranger’s gun, regaining his composure and calmly defusing the situation with the help of their guide.
