The story unfolds as Joshua Waits (Michael Stephenson), a young boy, receives a chilling message from his deceased grandfather, Seth (Robert Ormsby). Seth reveals the sinister existence of goblins that deceive humans into eating poisoned food, transforming their victims into vegetables, which the goblins then consume. Meanwhile, Joshua’s sister, Holly (Connie Young), has a brewing storm of her own as she confronts her boyfriend, Elliot (Jason Wright), accusing him of homosexuality due to his frequent hangouts with friends Brent, Arnold, and Drew (David McConnell, Darren Ewing, and Jason Steadman respectively). As the family prepares for a holiday in Nilbog, Holly reluctantly agrees to meet Elliot on the way but insists he come alone.

However, Elliot fails to keep the promise, arriving later with his friends, leading to a tense confrontation. Subsequently, as the family drives to Nilbog, Joshua experiences a nightmare where his family morphs into goblins with sinister intentions. Upon waking, he is startled to find Seth disguised as a hitchhiker. Seth desperately urges Joshua to convince his family to turn back, warning that they are heading to the goblins’ kingdom.

Upon arrival in Nilbog, a series of gruesome events begin to unfold. Elliot’s friend Arnold encounters a woman fleeing from goblins. In a frantic escape, they stumble upon Creedence Leonore Gielgud (Deborah Reed), the druid leader of the goblins, who uses her magical powers to turn the woman into a puddle of vegetable matter to feed the goblins while Arnold is transformed into a plant.

Realizing the terrible truth behind Nilbog’s name, Joshua skates to an abandoned church where goblins preach against the evils of eating meat. When he is captured and nearly fed spiked ice cream, his father Michael (George Hardy) starts to sense something is amiss, rescuing Joshua just in time. The family soon finds themselves caught in a sudden surprise party engineered by the goblins.

Out of desperation, Joshua attempts to contact Seth again, but he instead encounters Creedence in her ghastly goblin form. With Seth’s timely intervention, Creedence is momentarily defeated. As chaos reigns, they gather to perform a séance, hoping to reach out to Seth one last time. Time is of the essence as the goblins break in, and Seth warns Joshua that he must act swiftly to stop them. He instructs Joshua to touch the Magic Stone, a source of power, and provides a bag meant for dire situations.

When the goblins capture him again, Joshua resorts to opening the bag, revealing a double-decker Bologna sandwich. In a surprising twist, consuming this sandwich makes Joshua toxic to the goblins. Upon using the Magic Stone, he manages to eliminate Creedence, but the peril doesn’t end there. They return to their home, blissfully unaware that the remnants of the goblin family have left poisoned food lurking in the refrigerator.

Tragically, the horror culminates in the epilogue as Diane (Margo Prey) succumbs to the poisoned food, and Joshua is left to witness the horrifying sight of his mother being devoured by the goblins. In a moment of despair, he lets out a chilling scream, embodying the terror of their ghastly visit to Nilbog.
