In the charming town of Seabrook, where humans, zombies, and werewolves live in harmonious coexistence, a palpable excitement fills the air as Seabrook High School students gear up for their final year. For Addison, this significant milestone heralds a bright future, especially with an acceptance letter from the esteemed Mountain College on the horizon. Meanwhile, Zed is fueled by ambition; he’s determined to leverage his athletic skills to secure a scholarship to the same college and perhaps even collaborate academically with Addison. As the exhilarating night of the much-anticipated football game nears, the townsfolk remain blissfully unaware that their peace will soon face a thrilling disruption.

Just as the excitement peaks, a UFO suddenly descends upon Seabrook, casting an eerie shadow over the town. Out from the spacecraft emerge A-Lan, A-Li, and A-Spen, extraterrestrial beings whose true motives remain cloaked in secrecy. In an effort to blend in and divert suspicion, they present themselves as contestants in the National Cheer Off, an event orchestrated by Addison herself. However, as the aliens adapt to their new surroundings, they begin to exert a peculiar influence over the townspeople.

Skeptical and wary, Willa, Wyatt, and Wynter suspect these newcomers may jeopardize their peaceful existence. As the plot thickens, A-Spen discovers a loophole that helps Zed enhance his academic standing, securing his spot at Mountain College. At the same time, Eliza, who is interning at Z-Corp—makers of the sought-after Z-bands—assists Zed on his quest for excellence.

However, as the aliens leverage their superior technology, they effortlessly outperform Zed in both academics and sports, which threatens his scholarship prospects. In a desperate bid to help the extraterrestrial trio locate a rare moonstone, Zed realizes it has fatal properties for their kind. Amidst this turmoil, A-Spen’s admission of feelings for Zed complicates their dynamics, especially when cheer practices are disrupted by the aliens’ extraordinary skills, creating further divides within Seabrook.

In a shocking twist, Addison is accidentally transported aboard the alien vessel, becoming entangled in the depths of their mission. The aliens, as they reveal their true motives, are in search of an interstellar map to Utopia, a potential new home for their species, beginning with a treasured artifact long safeguarded by Addison’s grandmother, Angie.

As Zed anxiously awaits his crucial college interview, he is thrown into turmoil when Addison unwittingly transforms into a “zombie-like” state, awakened by her extraterrestrial gifts. This unexpected shift sends their interviewer scurrying away, leaving Zed and Addison grappling with the essence of their identities. The alien trio grapples with realizing that the prized Seabrook Cup, crafted from materials sourced from their distant planet, might be the key to identifying their pathway to Utopia. In her search for answers, Addison comes to understand her identity is intricately tied to the cup’s significance—the aliens must possess it, or perhaps Addison herself does.

However, just as Zed learns of his acceptance into college, he finds out that the Z-Patrol has become aware of the aliens’ plans. Trying to navigate this revelation while also trying to stop the aliens from competing in the Cheer-Off proves to be an arduous and futile task, leaving Addison as the only one connected to their future.

A climactic confrontation unfolds when the werewolves interrupt the cheer pavilion, exposing the aliens’ true objectives. As the extraterrestrial trio tries to escape, they discover that the coordinates to Utopia are hidden within Addison’s very DNA. In this moment of realization, Addison finds herself torn between her loyalty to her friends and her aspirations.

As Zed offers to accompany Addison on this colossal adventure, they both realize the harsh reality that his presence may be short-lived due to the alien stardust energy. As their departure nears, the ship struggles to function until the werewolves come to their aid by providing moonstone energy, which Eliza believes can be harnessed through the Z-Bands. With Zed risking everything to bridge the impact of the alien technology and the moonstone powers, he remarkably survives the chaotic transformations.

As they scramble to abandon ship before it propels into hyperspace, Addison and Zed share a bittersweet kiss, aware that their love might be sacrificed as he is beamed back to Earth. As the spaceship disappears into the mysterious abyss, Addison is left behind with feelings of loss and transformation.

Finally, as the euphoria of their graduation ceremony dissipates, the group acknowledges a heartfelt truth—despite Addison not being in their world anymore, her spirit carries on through the secret coordinates imprinted within her DNA. Meanwhile, the aliens uncover the enigmatic map’s secrets, and Addison comes to a profound realization about her grandmother’s unwavering hope for their species on Earth, echoing the sentiments reflected in the decoded map.

When the aliens return, excitement ignites among Zed, Bree, Willa, Wynter, Wyatt, Bonzo, and the Aceys, who embrace their newfound freedom. The atmosphere buzzes with joy as they greet their extraterrestrial friends, heralding a new dawn where beings from across the cosmos, including vampires and merfolk, can coexist in Seabrook.

As the credits roll, Bucky steps into the limelight, managing the Mothership’s launch with a cheerful grin. Winking at the audience, he announces his mission to “spread cheer across the furthest reaches of the galaxy,” as the ship soars away, leaving behind an exhilarating trail of adventure.
