David Duchovny

David William Duchovny, an American actor, director, writer, producer, and musician, is best known for his roles as Fox Mulder on The X-Files and Hank Moody on Californication, the latter earning him Golden Globe awards. His film works includes roles in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Beethoven, and Chaplin among others. Duchovny was born in 1960 in New York City to Scottish and Jewish parents. He completed his education at Princeton University and Yale University, where he studied English Literature. Duchovny has published several books including Holy Cow: A Modern-Day Dairy Tale, Bucky Fcking Dent*, and Miss Subways. The actor, who was married to actress Téa Leoni from 1997 to 2014, has two children. In his career spanning from 1987 to the present, Duchovny has also lent his voice to video games and has made musical contributions, releasing his debut album Hell or Highwater in 2015.
