Emmanuelle Seigner

Emmanuelle Seigner is a critically acclaimed French actress, singer, and model, renowned for her roles in prolific movies such as The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The Ninth Gate, and Frantic. Born on June 22, 1966, in the heart of Paris, she kickstarted her acting career in 1984 and since then has displayed immense versatility and charisma on screen. Seigner has received multiple César Award nominations, which includes a Best Actress nod for her incredible performance in Venus in Fur, and Best Supporting Actress nominations for Place Vendôme and La Vie en Rose. Seigner comes from a family deeply entrenched in the arts; she is the older sister of actress Mathilde Seigner and singer Marie-Amélie Seigner. Her early years were steeped in creativity, with the guidance of her grandfather, the actor Louis Seigner, and her aunt, Françoise Seigner, both of whom were integral parts of the Comédie-Française. She demonstrated her artistic skills at a tender age, beginning her modelling career at just 14 years old. Alongside her acting career, she also dabbled in music, becoming the lead singer of the pop rock band Ultra Orange – later renamed to Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle.
