Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Kate Paltrow (born September 27, 1972) is an American actress and businesswoman. Daughter of filmmaker Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner, she started her career appearing mainly in mid-budget and period films in the 90s before transitioning to blockbusters. Her accolades include an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award. She gained recognition for her roles in films such as Seven, Emma, Sliding Doors, and A Perfect Murder. She received critical acclaim for her role as Viola de Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love, which earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress. After becoming a parent in 2004, Paltrow reduced her acting workload, making occasional appearances in films. Her career experienced a revival through her portrayal of Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is also the founder and CEO of lifestyle company Goop, and has been criticized for promoting pseudoscience. In 2005, she became a 'face' of Estée Lauder and was previously the face of Coach. She has written several cookbooks and hosted the documentary series The Goop Lab for Netflix in 2020.
