Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet is an acclaimed English actress. Known for her roles as strong and complex women in independent films and period dramas, she has received several accolades. Her first screen appearance came at age 15 in the British television series 'Dark Season' (1991). Later, she achieved global stardom with her leading role in James Cameron's epic romance Titanic (1997). A shift in her career occurred with her roles in contemporary settings, such as the science fiction romance 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' (2004), which was a turning point in her career. Winslet has continued to receive recognition for her performances in movies such as 'Finding Neverland' (2004), 'Little Children' (2006), 'The Holiday' (2006), 'Revolutionary Road' (2008), 'The Reader' (2008), 'Steve Jobs' (2015), as well as in the HBO miniseries 'Mildred Pierce' (2011) and 'Mare of Easttown' (2021). A co-founder of the charity Golden Hat Foundation, which aims to create autism awareness, she has also written a book on the subject. Winslet has been married to Edward Abel Smith since 2012 and has a child from each of her three marriages, one of whom is the actress Mia Threapleton.
