Luke Evans

**Luke George Evans**, born on 15 April 1979, is an illustrious Welsh actor and singer. His remarkable career journey began on the stage, starring in popular London's West End productions like Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf before making the significant move to film, making his breakthrough in the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans. Subsequent to his debut, Evans showcased his versatility by performing in numerous action and thriller films such as Immortals (2011), The Raven (2012), and the re-imagined The Three Musketeers (2011). He rose to further prominence by brilliantly portraying the antagonist Owen Shaw in Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's three-part adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, and the legendary vampire Dracula in the 2014 Dracula Untold. The years to follow saw him in various other fascinating and diverse roles, such as Gaston in a live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast (2017), psychologist William Moulton Marston in the film Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, and the Coachman in the 2022 live-action remake of Pinocchio. Evans also has a thriving singing career, releasing his debut album, At Last, on 22 November 2019. Off the spotlight, Luke was born in Pontypool and raised in Aberbargoed, Wales, as the only child of his parents Yvonne and David Evans. After leaving school at the age of 16, Luke moved to Cardiff and, demonstrating his incredible passion for singing, studied under the tutelage of singing coach Louise Ryan. Soon after, he secured a scholarship to the Known London Studio Centre, graduated in 2000, and embarked on his admirable career journey. His earliest days as an actor saw him perform in many popular West End productions creating a unique imprint with his indisputable talent, paving his way to the film industry. Despite being highly protective of his personal life, he has been open about his sexuality and has dated actor and model Jon Kortajarena between 2014 and 2016, and has been in a relationship with Fran Tomas since 2021.
