Megan Denise Fox, born on May 16, 1986 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is an American actress achieving prominence from her acting debut in the children's film, Holiday in the Sun (2001). She later landed various supporting roles in films and TV, notable of which was the teen musical comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004) and ABC sitcom Hope & Faith (2004–2006). Fox became a household name through her breakout role as Mikaela Banes in Transformers (2007) and reprised her role in its sequel. She played lead in horror comedy Jennifer's Body (2009) and starred in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and its sequel. Professionally described as a sex symbol, she has graced numerous magazines and bagged two Scream Awards and four Teen Choice Awards. Fox is also a writer, having released her first book titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, a collection of her poetry in November 2023.
