In a dystopian future set in Seattle, high schools have transformed into institutions that resemble prisons. To tackle the alarming issue of student attendance and engagement, Dr. Bob Forrest (Stacy Keach) has ingeniously repurposed military-grade Cyborgs to serve as educators. The head of this revolutionary high school program, Dr. Miles Langford (Malcolm McDowell), embraces this drastic approach, particularly because he is troubled by the rampant gang activity within his school and has a personal stake: his daughter, Christine (Traci Lind), is one of the students.
When tough guy Cody Culp (Bradley Gregg) returns to high school after serving time in jail, he is quickly drawn back into the violent clutches of his former friends, who are now under the influence of a new drug called “the Edge.” This drug has devastating effects, particularly evident in the case of Cody’s own mother. However, through an unexpected friendship with Christine, he begins to see a glimmer of hope and change within himself.
As tensions rise, Cody and Christine become increasingly aware of the sinister methods employed by the Cyborg instructors—Ms. Connors (Pam Grier), Mr. Bryles (Patrick Kilpatrick), and Mr. Hardin (John P. Ryan). These so-called teachers resort to extreme measures for dealing with student misconduct, pushing Cody and Christine to uncover the dark truth behind their actions. Together, they realize that not only their education, but their very lives are at stake as they fight against the oppressive and dangerous elements that threaten their school environment.
In this high-stakes battle for survival, Cody and Christine ignite a passion for change that could redefine their futures and reclaim their school from the grips of fear and tyranny.
