Inside, they witness a masked leader invoking the stolen materials in a ritual that builds toward a virgin sacrifice.

When the ritual culminates, the leader hurls Connie Swail into a perilous water pit and sinks her fate with an anaconda. Friday and Streebek spring into action, disrupting the ceremony, rescuing Connie, and subduing the snake, then reporting the incident to Captain Bill Gannon. But the next day, with Gannon and the politically connected Police Commissioner Jane Kirkpatrick present, no evidence remains to be found, and Kirkpatrick pulls Friday and Streebek off the case. The setback complicates their pursuit, as Kirkpatrick’s political ambitions appear to be aligned with Whirley and Caesar’s interests.

A new lead arrives when Streebek uncovers a stash of chemicals that could be used to mass-produce a toxic gas. What seems like a warehouse raid turns out to be a red herring: the materials are hidden next door to an ordinary milk factory. With few leads, Friday and Streebek turn their attention to a social dinner—a birthday gathering at a Brown Derby for Friday and his grandmother—where Connie unexpectedly joins them. There, Connie recognizes Whirley as the P.A.G.A.N. leader, having seen his true face during the earlier robbery. Friday attempts to arrest Whirley, but Kirkpatrick, still pulling strings behind the scenes, overrides him and suspends the detective, while Gannon orders Streebek to stay away from Whirley.

During the tense dinner, Friday’s world expands as Connie’s courage and loyalty deepen the case. Muzz captures Friday and Connie and takes them to Griffith Observatory, where Whirley unveils his plan to kill Caesar at a reunion party for the models of Bait. Connie is again endangered as she’s moved onto a private jet, and Friday’s clock ticks. Streebek arrives in time, forcing Muzz to reveal Friday’s whereabouts, and he carries out a daring mission: infiltrating Caesar’s mansion to thwart Whirley’s gas plot just as Whirley torches the magazines to erase evidence.

Gannon arrives with SWAT, and Friday forces the getaway to a halt, crashing the estate gates with an armored vehicle. Streebek succeeds in arresting Muzz, and Caesar, grateful for the interruption, praises Friday’s work. With the immediate danger halted, Gannon reinstates Friday and returns his badge, allowing the veteran detective to pursue Whirley to the next stage of justice.

The pursuit culminates at an airport where Whirley briefly partners with Kirkpatrick, then abandons her and escapes with Connie as a hostage. The final confrontation unfolds aboard a police jet, where Friday forces Whirley to land. Whirley is convicted on multiple charges and given a lengthy sentence of 43 consecutive 99-year terms, effectively ending any chance of parole. Kirkpatrick’s political career collapses under the weight of exposure, though her ultimate fate remains open. In the end, Friday and Streebek renew their partnership, and Friday begins dating Connie, who is no longer referred to as “the virgin” but as a courageous ally who helped turn the case around.
