The follow-up to the beloved animated film Happy Feet, which won the Academy Award®, Happy Feet Two transports viewers back to the breathtaking landscapes of Antarctica, now rendered in stunning 3D. Mumble, famously known as The Master of Tap, faces a significant challenge with his young son, Erik, who struggles with a fear of dancing. Straying away from home, Erik encounters the intriguing Mighty Svena, a penguin with the astonishing ability to fly! Faced with this impressive new figure, Mumble feels overshadowed.
However, the true chaos arises when formidable forces shake their world. In the midst of this turbulence, Erik discovers the courage and perseverance of his father, Mumble. Together, they unite the various penguin clans, along with a host of extraordinary creatures—from the diminutive Krill to the majestic Elephant Seal—to restore order.
Happy Feet Two is helmed by the talented George Miller, who earned his Oscar® for the original film. The voice cast features notable names, including Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, and P!nk, along with a stellar supporting lineup. The screenplay was birthed from the collaborative efforts of George Miller, Gary Eck, Warren Coleman, and Paul Livingston. Production is a team effort, led by Miller alongside Doug Mitchell and Bill Miller, supported by executive producers Chris deFaria, Graham Burke, and Bruce Berman. Returning to create beautiful dance sequences is tap virtuoso Savion Glover. The film showcases captivating music by John Powell, promising to enhance the enchanting visuals.
Happy Feet Two, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures in collaboration with Village Roadshow Pictures and Kennedy Miller Mitchell, is set for release in both 3D and 2D formats, alongside IMAX presentations on November 18, 2011.
