In 1920, British Governor Scott Buxton and his wife Catherine arrive in a forest in Adilabad, where they forcibly abduct Malli, a young girl with a remarkable singing talent, from the Gond tribe. Accompanying them is Edward, the Governor’s special PA.
Meanwhile, Komaram Bheem, a tribal leader fiercely protective of his people, embarks on a daring mission to rescue Malli, concealing his identity under the guise of Akhtar, a Muslim. He is aided by his loyal companions, including Jangu and Peddanna.
The oppressors in Hyderabad, represented by Venkat Avadhani, a special advisor to the Nizam, alert Scott’s office about Bheem’s endeavors. Alluri Sitarama Raju, a steadfast police officer tired of being overlooked for promotions, eagerly volunteers to capture Bheem, hoping to earn recognition for his dedication to law enforcement.
Facing a dilemma, the British have no information about Bheem, not even a description of his appearance. Thus, Catherine declares that any officer who manages to apprehend Bheem will be elevated to the rank of special officer. Seizing this opportunity, Ram devises a cunning plan to lure Bheem into his trap by posing as an adversary of the crown.
Ultimately, Ram attends a meeting with independence activists and suggests the assassination of Scott. One of Bheem’s confidants, Lachhu, invites Ram to join their ranks, but he quickly escapes upon discovering Ram’s true allegiance.
Serendipitously, Ram and Bheem cross paths while attempting to save a boy involved in a train accident. They form a bond, each concealing their true identities. Ram assists Bheem in getting closer to Jenny, Scott’s compassionate niece, with whom Bheem hopes to gain entry into the Governor’s residence. Ram cleverly sabotages Jenny’s car, forcing her to accept his help, thereby facilitating Bheem’s access.
Once inside the palace, Bheem meets Malli and reassures her of her intended rescue. However, Ram is hot on the trail of Lachhu, leading him to a painting shop where he apprehends him but finds that Lachhu is surprisingly resilient. During the confrontation, Lachhu cleverly uses a venomous Krait snake against Ram, who manages to secure Bheem’s assistance in the treatment of his injury, spurring a confession of intentions from the tribal leader.
In a dramatic prison break orchestrated by Bheem and his men, using a truck filled with dangerous wildlife as a distraction, Ram faces Bheem in a tense standoff. Scott holds Malli hostage, forcing Bheem into submission.
The plot thickens as flashbacks reveal Ram’s lineage. His father, Venkata Ramaraju, a revolutionary leader who bravely fought against the British Raj, sacrifices himself in battle. Amidst the chaos, Ram, out of respect for his father’s legacy, infiltrates the colonial police force with the intent of arming the rebels.
After Ram captures Bheem, he is devastated to learn that he will be executed publicly. During this event of brutal punishment, Bheem sings a powerful anthem that ignites a rebellion within the populace. Following this, Ram is offered a position in charge of a major arms shipment but wrestles with his conscience, ultimately deciding to execute a plan to rescue both Bheem and Malli.
The narrative unfolds further as Sita, Ram’s cousin, learns of his imminent fate and bravely deceives the British soldiers, providing Bheem the intel required to rescue Ram. Together, they embark on a thrilling and perilous journey, battling against all odds before ultimately confronting Scott and reclaiming their freedom.
In a heart-pounding climax, they succeed in distributing arms to the loyal resistance, eluding capture and fulfilling their promises, as Bheem reunites Malli with her mother, and Ram secures his place in history as a hero determined to educate and uplift his people.
