A woman embarks on a late-blooming journey to discover the pleasures of intimacy in this comedic tale. Priscilla, a thirty-something public-relations agent, played by Parker Posey, faces the challenging task of attracting new businesses to Cleveland, OH. Her marriage to Jack, portrayed by Paul Rudd, a high-school teacher on the verge of burnout, adds to her struggles.

Their home life is far from ideal; while Priscilla claims to be content with their sex life, she cannot seem to achieve orgasm, leaving Jack feeling frustrated and helpless. As their relationship strains, Jack finds himself entangled in an affair with Kristen, one of his students, who exhibits an unusual interest in him. This leads him to make the leap and move out, leaving Priscilla to confront her mounting sexual frustrations alone.

In her quest for self-discovery, Priscilla turns to Alyssa, an outspoken and candid sex therapist played by Liza Minnelli, who encourages her to learn the art of self-pleasure. Following Alyssa’s advice paves the way for a transformation in Priscilla, eventually awakening a new sense of confidence and desire. In her journey, she meets Wayne, a swimming-pool salesman brought to life by Danny DeVito. Despite his seemingly messy appearance, Wayne surprises Priscilla with his impressive skills in the bedroom.

“The Oh in Ohio” marks the debut feature film of director Billy Kent, who previously made his mark in the world of television commercials. This film follows Priscilla’s evolution as she navigates both personal and romantic challenges, ultimately uncovering the joys of embracing her sexuality.
