**Keanu Charles Reeves** (/kiˈɑːnuː/ kee-AH-noo; born September 2, 1964) is a Canadian actor, producer, and musician. He is well-appreciated for his roles in numerous high-grossing films, and his career has been marked with a significant number of awards and recognition. In 2020, _The New York Times_ ranked him as the fourth-greatest actor of the 21st century, and in 2022 _Time_ magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Throughout his career, Reeves has demonstrated a broad range and an ability to play a diverse set of characters. Known for his leading roles in action films, his affable public image, and philanthropic efforts, he has defined himself as a widely loved figure in popular culture. Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon and raised in Toronto, Canada. He made his acting debut in the Canadian television series _Hangin' In_ (1984), before making his feature-film debut in _Youngblood_ (1986). He gained fame with roles in _Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure_ and _Speed_, and hit a career high with his performance as Neo in _The Matrix_ series. His ongoing success continued with the _John Wick_ series since 2014. In addition to his acting career, Reeves is a co-founder of a production company and a custom motorcycle manufacturer. He also co-created the comic book franchise BRZRKR.
