Some of his notable works include films like The Thing, Platoon, Novocaine, American Fiction, and many others. In television, he has had significant roles, such as playing Elroy Patashnik in the NBC series Community, and the character Bishop James Greenleaf on the drama Greenleaf from Oprah Winfrey Network.
