Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato' Seri Michelle Yeoh, better known by the stage name Michelle Yeoh, is a distinguished Malaysian actress known for her versatile roles and prowess in martial arts. Born on 6 August 1962, she started her career in the 1980s and gained fame through her performances in Hong Kong action and martial arts films, performing her own stunts. Her breakthrough role came when she starred in James Bond film 'Tomorrow Never Dies' and Ang Lee's 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'. After moving to the US, her Hollywood career took off with roles in prominent films like 'Memoirs of a Geisha', 'Sunshine', and 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'. She continued to star in several prominent films over the years. In 2011, she played Aung San Suu Kyi in the British biographical film 'The Lady'. Recently, she gained significant recognition for her roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' and the TV series 'Star Trek: Discovery', earning her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
