Nicholas Hoult

**Nicholas Caradoc Hoult**, born 7 December 1989, is an English actor who has created an impressive portfolio, ranging from roles in big-budget mainstream productions to independent projects in both American and British films. His career started with theatre performances in childhood and a screen debut at age six in 1996's 'Intimate Relations'. After his breakthrough role in 2002's comedy-drama 'About a Boy', Hoult enjoyed a wider recognition for his performance in the E4 teen series 'Skins' during 2007-2008. As he transitioned to adult roles, Hoult caught attention in the 2009 drama 'A Single Man' and fantasy film 'Clash of the Titans'. He was also cast as Hank McCoy / Beast in the 'X-Men: First Class', a role he reprised in later instalments of the series. Hoult's notable roles include the title role in 'Jack the Giant Slayer' (2013), a zombie in 'Warm Bodies' (2013), a supporting role in 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (2015), and portrayal of several historical figures such as Robert Harley in 'The Favourite' (2018), writer J. R. R. Tolkien in 'Tolkien' (2019), and Peter III in 'The Great' (2020–2023). For his work in 'The Great', he earned nominations for two Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2024, he starred in 'Juror #2' and 'The Garfield Movie'. Off screen, Hoult supports Teenage Cancer Trust and Christian Aid.
