Zee, an intrepid professional hitwoman based in Paris, leads a tumultuous life marked by violence and danger. Frequently, she finds herself entangled with Finn, an Irish operative working tirelessly for the powerful crime boss, Jules Gobert. Her assignments predominantly revolve around eliminating competitors in the perilous drug trade. Zee’s violent profession offers her few joys, with her only indulgences being her friendship with Tessier, an elderly and affluent tailor who assists her with crossword puzzles, caring for a goldfish, and crafting elaborate disguises for her missions. She has earned the notorious title of the Queen of the Dead among the criminal underbelly.

In a stealthy operation organized by Finn, Zee is tasked with the assassination of key members of a rival drug gang reveling in a Marseille nightclub’s vibrant atmosphere. After decisively dispatching the gangsters, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Jenn, a young American singer who becomes ensnared in the mayhem and sustains injuries that leave her blind. Despite her profession, Zee finds herself moved by Jenn’s plight and decides to spare her life, even as she is supposed to eliminate everyone at the scene. This act of mercy leads Finn to send her to the hospital, where Jenn is recovering, in a bid to fulfill the original contract.

Throughout this chaotic period, police inspector Sey and his partner Jax are on a mission to capture Jenn’s drug-dealing boyfriend, Coco. Unfortunately, Coco manages to evade arrest, injures Jax in the process, and takes a hostage, which tragically culminates in Sey being forced to kill him. As Coco listens to one of Jenn’s demo recordings in his final moments, Sey finds himself drawn to her, leading him to Jeanne as a key witness.

Under the guise of a U.S. embassy vice-consul, Zee stealthily infiltrates Jenn’s hospital room with plans to finish her deadly task. However, the arrival of Sey complicates matters; he seeks Jenn’s account of the chaotic events, but her traumatic injury has left her with scant memories. Zee hesitates to proceed with her intentions, creating an uneasy tension that piques Sey’s suspicions about her. As he continues to piece together the mysterious connections between Gobert and the theft of a large heroin shipment stolen from Prince Majeb Bin Faheem, it becomes apparent that dirty cops have infiltrated both sides of the drug trade, sabotaging Sey’s investigation due to their own self-preservation.

In a twist of fate, Zee contacts Jenn at the hospital to whisk her away from impending danger—Finn’s men are closing in. During an explosive shootout, Zee narrowly escapes after a brief confrontation with Sey. This encounter reveals the intricate web of deception, as Jenn confesses their involvement in relocating Bin Faheem’s heroin from the original thieves to a hidden stash in Paris. When Zee meets with Finn in an abandoned church, she concocts a lie to reassure him that Jenn is no longer a threat. However, Finn soon discovers otherwise, leading to a cascade of confrontations.

Captured by Sey, who believes he can get vital information regarding a previous case involving Zee, she manages to flee custody. In a desperate search for Jenn, Nina is assisted by Tessier after discovering that police involvement jeopardizes her safety. Meanwhile, Gobert’s insistence on handling the loose end of Bin Faheem results in Finn eliminating him.

As the dangerous game progresses, Finn sets Zee up to eliminate Sey, promising safety for her and Jenn. Immersed in chaos, Zee sees through the ruse, poisons Finn’s plans by dispatching the assassin sent after her, and allies with Sey to dismantle Finn’s empire. Their ultimate showdown leads them back to the church, where they orchestrate a plan to reclaim the stolen heroin and secure Jenn’s future.

In a nail-biting finale, an explosive confrontation erupts as Sey and Zee, fiercely determined, engage in a brutal battle against Finn and his assassins. Amidst the chaos, Sey triggers an explosion that obliterates the heroin and unexpectedly restores Jenn’s sight. In a clever diversion, Jenn poses a seemingly trivial question to distract Finn, allowing Sey to pass Zee a weapon. In that pivotal moment, Zee is forced to shoot Finn, thereby freeing herself from his grip.

In a poignant denouement, Zee observes Jenn’s heartfelt reunion with her mother and calls Sey, expressing her desire to embark on a new path in life, ultimately marking a transformative change as they part ways with a heartfelt farewell that hints at hope for the future.
