Chris Hemsworth

Christopher Hemsworth AM, born 11 August 1983, is an Australian actor who gained prominence by playing Kim Hyde in the Australian television series Home and Away (2004–2007) before transitioning to a successful film career in Hollywood. Most recognizable for portraying the superhero 'Thor' in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), this role has catapulted Hemsworth into the list of the world's highest-paid actors. Other notable films include action films like Star Trek (2009), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Blackhat (2015), and Extraction (2020), comedies like Ghostbusters (2016), and even a biographical sports film Rush (2013) where he portrayed James Hunt. Off-screen, Hemsworth has been lauded for his physical transformations and commitment to fitness for his roles, and he has created a fitness app, Centr, to share his expertise wider. Hemsworth is married to Spanish model and actress Elsa Pataky, with whom he has three children. He is based in Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia.
