Frank Martin, portrayed by Jason Statham, has settled down in sunny Miami, Florida, after making the move from southern France. In a gesture of goodwill, he takes on the role of a temporary chauffeur for the affluent Billings family. Their relationship is under intense pressure, especially between Jefferson Billings, played by Matthew Modine, and his wife, Audrey, played by Amber Valletta, as Jefferson’s demanding high-profile government position strains their marriage. During this time, Frank develops a connection with their young son, Jack, whom he dutifully drives to elementary school in a sleek Audi A8 W12.

The situation takes a turn when a somewhat tipsy Audrey unexpectedly drops by Frank’s residence, attempting to seduce him. However, Frank, displaying his characteristic tact, gently persuades her to return home. As Frank prepares to welcome Inspector Tarconi, his longtime friend and detective from France, for a holiday visit, the atmosphere is charged with anticipation.

Trouble arises when Frank takes Jack for a routine medical checkup, only to discover, through a timely realization, that impostors have brutally murdered and replaced the medical staff. This revelation sparks an exhilarating battle between Frank and a group of villains led by the fierce Lola, played by Kate Nauta. Despite being unarmed, Frank manages to escape with Jack, but not before receiving a harrowing phone call that informs him a sniper has set sights on them, threatening their lives from afar.

Reluctantly, Frank has no choice but to allow Lola to join them in the car as they speed away, evading a barrage of police vehicles in the process. Their adventure leads them to a warehouse, where Frank meets Gianni, portrayed by Alessandro Gassmann, the mastermind behind the sinister plot. Gianni commands Frank to leave Jack behind, uncovering an explosive device attached to the car. In a race against time, Frank successfully disarms the bomb.

While Jack is eventually returned to his family after a ransom is paid, a sinister twist unfolds as he has been infected with a lethal virus that will spell doom for anyone he comes into contact with. Despite being suspected of collusion in the kidnapping plot, Frank, with the unwavering support of Audrey, embarks on a relentless quest to confront one of the fake doctors, Dimitri.

Pretending to spread the virus, Frank forces Dimitri to flee in a panic to search for a cure, resulting in a thrilling chase. Even though he eliminates Dimitri, Frank’s troubles intensify when the only cure is thrown out of a window amid chaos. He manages to recover one vial intact and swiftly returns to the Billings’ residence to inform an ailing Audrey of the grim developments. Administering the antidote to Jack recently puts him back in the fight for survival.

As Jefferson, the National Drug Control Policy director, speaks at an extensive conference with global anti-drug leaders, Frank takes decisive action against Gianni, who plans to inject himself with the remaining cure supply. After dispatching Gianni’s henchmen, Frank holds the villain at gunpoint, only for Gianni to reveal the dark influence of a Colombian drug cartel behind his actions.

Unexpectedly, the armed Lola appears, leading to a tension-filled standoff. In a moment of fierce conflict, Frank defeats Lola by utilizing his surroundings to secure victory. In a final bid to prevent Gianni’s escape, Frank commandeers a Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, racing to the airport to intercept him. A gripping showdown ensues aboard Gianni’s private jet, which ultimately spirals into chaos, resulting in a crash into the ocean.

In the end, Frank takes down Gianni, ensuring that the antidote remains viable. As rescue boats arrive, the Billings family is reunited with Jack, who is given the lifesaving antidote. Frank, witnessing this moment of joy from afar, chooses to quietly step away and returns to his car, where Tarconi awaits. Just as he prepares to leave, Frank receives a call from a new client needing his unparalleled skills as a transporter.
