Dwayne Johnson

What's After the Movie

Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson, also known by his ring name The Rock, is an American multi-hyphenate talent—actor, professional wrestler, film producer, and businessman. Johnson first gained fame in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), where he was integral to the success of the company during the Attitude Era. After retiring from wrestling, Johnson transitioned to film, where his physical presence and charisma found large audiences. With films grossing over $3.5 billion in North America and $12.5 billion worldwide, he is one of the world's highest-grossing and highest-paid actors. Beyond his entertainment career, Johnson co-owns the United Football League, has served on the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings—the parent company of UFC and WWE—and co-founded production company Seven Bucks Productions. In addition to his career achievements, Johnson is known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly through his Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation, which works with at-risk and terminally ill children.
