**Kristen Carroll Wiig** was born on August 22, 1973, in Canandaigua, New York, U.S. She is an American actress, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. Her career gained traction with her performance in the Los Angeles comedy troupe The Groundlings and became well-known during her seven-season tenure on NBC's sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012.
